Jönköping Konsert & Kongress, a live event venue in Sweden renovated and rebranded before re-opening late last year, is equipped with the first L-Acoustics L series-based system in the Nordics, installed by L-Acoustics Certified Provider JLE Audio in the venue’s 1,000-seat Hammarskjöld Hall.
Formerly Elmia Konsert & Kongress, the project was a collaboration between JKPG Fast which owns the property, Elmia, and Destination Jönköping which manages the space. The new concert sound system serves as a milestone in the ongoing transformation the venue, solidifying its status as a premier destination for cultural and corporate events that include congresses, corporate meetings, stand-up comedy, musicals, and concerts.
“Our goal is to continuously foster innovation, creativity, and inspiration,” says Camilla Fritz, head of concert operations at Jönköping Konsert & Kongress. “With our new L Series professional sound system, we can offer a first-class audio experience for all visitors, whether they are attending a conference or enjoying a concert.
The main system consists of left/right hangs of one L2 over one L2D, with four KS28 subwoofers are flown centrally and an additional four KS28 placed on the floor to provide low-end extension. Eight X8 coaxial loudspeakers are used for front fill and two for underbalcony fill. Amplified controllers driving the system include four LA7.16i for the L Series, two LA12X for the KS28, one LA4X for front fills and one LA2Xi for under balcony fills. The system is fed from one P1 processor through a Milan-AVB network.
