DirectOut Fulfills Key Roles For Karol G’s Mañana Será Bonito Tour In Columbia

PRODIGY.MP multifunctional processor handles duties that included connecting multiple mixing consoles while onboard sample rate conversion technology fostering integration with clocking stability and more for two shows at Atanasio Giradot Stadium in Medellín.

Columbian Mega star Karol G said goodbye to 2023 with two sold-out homecoming shows at Atanasio Giradot Stadium in Medellín that were a part of her Mañana Será Bonito (Tomorrow will be Beautiful) tour that continues until July 2024, with a DirectOut PRODIGY.MP multifunctional processor at the center of the audio infrastructure as its modular hardware fulfilled a number of roles across the main system.

The artist is known for her colorful and complex performances with high production values, with the PRODGIY.MP helping to fulfill that directive. The multi-format, hybrid audio signal flow was handled by PRODIGY due to its analog, MADI, AES and Dante audio modules integrated into the main chassis.

Multiple mixing consoles were connected via PRODIGY.MP and the onboard sample rate conversion technology made it possible to achieve integration while maintaining clocking stability. Redundancy for the consoles was also provided by PRODIGY.MP. input managers that configured the back-up of the main signals from each console, and EARS was used as an automatic switching mechanism with digital protocols.

The loudspeaker system was also supported by PRODIGY.MP. Implementation focused on centralizing the operation of the d&b audiotechnik front of house system, as well as the backstage and grandstand systems. Audio inputs were processed in a variety of formats and patched as required due to the matrix system onboard the hardware.

On-site support in programming and configuration was provided by DirectOut’s Latin America team, with additional support from distribution Partner Yamaki and Aeris Group.
