d&b audiotechnik Upgrades R1 Remote Control And ArrayProcessing

Improved CPL for SL-Series line arrays allows easier adjusted for specific venues and new Temperature Humidity Control (THC) provides real-time high-frequency compensation for arrays due to temperature and humidity.

d&b audiotechnik ’s R1 Remote Control and ArrayProcessing optimization software now includes two new facets: upgraded CPL for SL-Series line arrays, allowing them to be more easily adjusted for specific venues; and new Temperature Humidity Control (THC) for real-time high-frequency compensation for arrays due to temperature and humidity.

Specifically, with the existing CPL function, which is used to shape the array frequency response for rooms as well as personal preference, the system’s frequency shelving function can prevent access to the full frequency range potential of the system, meaning that the SL-Series LF headroom below 100 Hz is not fully available when CPL is engaged. However, the new CPL upgrade allows the shaping of both LF and low-mid response independently, with individual controls.

The new THC function within ArrayProcessing is accessed through d&b R1 Remote Control software. It enables real-time adjustment for changing atmospheric conditions. The new THC function works on any group of d&b arrays operating in ArrayProcessing mode. It is a tool for any application where temperature and humidity conditions may change multiple times throughout the event.

“Visiting many SL-Series installation sites and working with the users and tech teams in the field, we realized that there was still room to improve the system workflow,” states Werner ‘Vier’ Bayer, d&b product management. “These two new enabling features will greatly improve daily workflows basis and elevate on-site system performance. I encourage all users to update their system software as soon as possible.”

The upgrades are available for download on the company website below.
